Mission Statement

To profitability represent the business interests of the membership consisting of fishermen, buyers, commercial service providers, and recreational users of the harbour facilities under the management of the Harbour Authority of Cheticamp.

To integrate the policies and procedures of Fisheries & Oceans Canada and the Nova Scotia Fisheries & Aquaculture in assuring a sustainable fishery.

To reflect the diverse impact on the broader community through associate and honorary memberships and public input.

Corporate Information

The Harbour Authority of Cheticamp was incorporated in April 1989 and was one of the first Harbour Authorities (HAs) to operate in Canada. Our Harbour Authority is incorporated federally as a non-profit corporation through Industry Canada.
